A Day at the Fair… the College Fair That Is!
On October 21st, 2016, Minds Matter Seattle students from all classes (Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors), along with their mentors, walked across downtown for a field trip to the Seattle National College Fair, hosted by NACAC.
This event showcases 150+ colleges and universities from around the country (and even a few international ones), giving students the chance to meet with admissions and other school representatives, ask questions and gather information, and learn about summer programs, scholarships, undergraduate programs, campus life, and much more.
For Sophomores, this is the first taste of college and an opportunity to learn about the summer programs they may consider applying to. Juniors attend to hone in on colleges and programs that interest them and explore their options. Seniors head for schools they are planning to apply to, or are considering to apply to, to get details about the admissions process and scholarships.
