"Minds Matter to me was a giant step in the right direction. As an immigrant and first-generation college student, regardless of how well I did in school, all things related to higher education were new to me. Had I not been a part of Minds Matter, it is very likely that I would not be in the position I am now. The program made me ready for the application process and allowed me to explore my options through summer programs. It provided a safety net to fall back on, as I could reach out with almost any question! To top it all off, I met my mentor through the program who has helped in so many different ways, and we will probably be friends for a long time to come!"

"Minds Matter was another supportive space for me and I love the personal relationship I built with my mentors! I really miss going to Capital Hill and walking around the Seattle U campus as well. Minds Matter was really important to me and my personal development and transition to college dorm life, especially away from my ethnic immigrant parents."

"Minds Matter provided me with various opportunities to discover my interests and all of the colleges I never even thought about. I'll never forget how much I often bother Cheryl asking for a multitude of advice on choosing the right college. Furthermore, I had such amazing mentors and a support system that pushed me to continuously grow every day. Minds Matter has been an impactful part of my life that I decided to give back last year and be a senior enrichment instructor supporting the incoming college students. I believe in what they do and I'm excited to see what they have to offer in the future!"
